about
Collective, by definition means “done by people acting as a group.” And that’s exactly what we are all about. At Collective our mission is to instruct a small group of creatives in growing in their craft. Not only as creatives but as individuals. We all have something to bring to the table. Whether you’re just starting out or are a seasoned photographer this one day workshop is for you. We never stop learning and growing in this life so we will learn just as much from you as you learn from us!
Where and when?
Collective will be a one day only workshop in Shreveport Louisiana. Why Louisiana? Well it’s obvious! We have a surplus of photographers in our beautiful state who are attending workshops across the world and none of those locations look anything like here. Don’t get us wrong, we love photographing couples on beautiful mountains and beaches just as much as the next person but those opportunities are far and few between. We want to bestow knowledge upon all of you that you can take back to your home because you’re shooting somewhere that you’ll be shooting often! The location of the workshop will be at LaChute Plantation on the outskirts of Shreveport. We have a full day of awesome activities planned for you guys and can’t wait to see you all! This amazing experience will start on March 20, 2019 at 9am sharp and will last until 7pm that night.
How Much?
This workshop will only be $600 total for the whole day. We wanted it to be affordable and easily accessible to anyone without breaking the bank. No travel expenses or hotel will be included in this price. Half will be due at the time of booking!
Food?
We will have a few breakfast options for when you get there along with some of the best coffee in town! Lunch will be provided for all of our attendees. As much as we’d love to provide a 5 star meal for everyone we are trying to cut back on expenses by providing a simple and fun environment for everyone. So we will have lunch catered by Mojunis in town! If you’re vegan or have dietary restrictions then please let us know! After the night is over we invite everyone to come to dinner with us at an undisclosed location that will be revealed at the time of the session. Unfortunately we will not be able to cover the final meal but we would still love for everyone to come eat and socialize with us!
What to Expect?
So this will be a very intimate event and we are only taking 10 people for this shop. Why only 10? We have come to realize when there are too many people then you lose those 1 on 1 connections which is what we are really striving for. We want to make sure every attendee gets the attention they need to feel confident in their abilities before they leave. There will be time for a meet and greet with the teachers before everything starts and two different sit down classroom sessions. There will also be two shoots during this day, yes, two shoots!! The first will be an engagement shoot and the second will be a wedding shoot that will be beautifully styled by The Nouveau Wedding!

I always thought I would become a journalist. I dreamed of roaming the college football sidelines for ESPN since I was 8. I thought if I couldn’t make it as the next Erin Andrews, I would do public relations for a university athletic department or athletic organization. I had casually been shooting with a camera since high school fiddling with making videos and photos for close friends & family. After graduating from Louisiana Tech (Go Dawgs), I started a corporate job working as a marketing rep. I discovered it wasn’t fulfilling, and I was miserable. I needed to create, to be with people, to tell stories and find the beauty of this thing called life. In the fall of 2011, a great guy friend of mine offered up an opportunity to shoot his best friend’s wedding in Dallas. In a spontaneous whim, and with no wedding experience or knowledge, I went to photograph a complete stranger’s day.
I fell in love with weddings, with the ability to enter into the intimate, special days of someone’s life and capture these moments for forever. I had found my place. I shot two more weddings that fall, and prayed if this was my calling I needed 15+ weddings for 2012 to make a significant reason to quit my day job. By January, I had 15 weddings booked for 2012, and a new found adventure which has brought me the greatest lessons, hard days, joys and happiness over the past 8 years. Since then, I have had the chance of capturing and telling the beautiful, rich, unique love stories of over 150+ couples. They have warmed my soul, they have inspired me and each of them has entrusted me in documenting their authentic love. Unveiled Radiance is about capturing the true essence of the human experience in all the [happy everything] moments of life. I am so thankful for the job I’ve been blessed with and the opportunity to engage in the lives of so many.

Hi! I'm Andy!
I am a wedding/elopement photographer residing in the swamps of Louisiana! Though this is where I’m from it’s not where I stay. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to shoot in a ton of different areas of the US over the past few years and it has shaped and grown me into the photographer I am today. My wife and two children also play into that role but I can’t always bring them with me.
I’ve been a full time photographer for over 3 years and am in complete disbelief by the amazing brides and opportunities that have presented themselves to me. Along with those opportunities comes the chance to be a speaker at The Gathering. I’m unbelievably stoked to be a part of your learning process to becoming a better creative and I hope that we will be totes bff’s by its end time. But that’s only the beginning!
